He returned to Italy, escorted by personnel from the SCIP (International Police Cooperation Service), Giuseppe DI MARTE, 31enne of Cinquefrondi (RC), arrested on March 6 in Pozuelo de Alarcon-Madrid with another fugitive Rosario GRASSO , head of the 'ndrina Cacciola-Grasso and already included in the list of dangerous fugitives.

DI MARTE, recipient of a European arrest warrant, issued by the Reggio Calabria DDA under the "ARES" operation for mafia-type criminal association aimed at international drug trafficking, possession of weapons, extortion, money laundering and more, he lent his services within the Tyrrhenian district as a trusted drug dealer of the Fat.

In particular, he served as promoter, organizer and co-financier of the organization aimed at importing huge quantities of cocaine from Colombia.

The capture of the two traffickers is the result of the close collaboration between the branches of the Department of Public Security, as from the first investigations of the Carabinieri Group of Gioia Tauro, through the operational synergy and the support of the Central Directorate for Anti-drug Services and the Service for the International Police Cooperation, all the useful elements that have allowed the Spanish police to identify and then arrest the two were provided.

Upon arrival of DI MARTE in Fiumicino, the formalities of the arrest on the national territory were completed in the Air Border Police Offices and subsequently taken to prison at the disposal of the Reggio Judicial Authority.
