THEEurispes, Institute of Political, Economic and Social Studies  has kicked off a Permanent Security Observatory, entrusting the presidency to the general Pasquale Preziosa, former Chief of Staff of theair Force  is one of the leading experts in geopolitics and international security in Italy. General Preziosa is a university teacher, during his prestigious military career he has led important strategic missions in various war theaters. He recently wrote the essay The defense of Europe (ed. Cacucci, 2019) together with Professor Dario Velo.

The newly established Permanent Security Observatory employs a Scientific Committee in which representatives of the various Police Forces, Armed Forces, Foreign Departments and Universities participate, senior Magistrates who have always been involved in the fight against crime, top figures and experts critical infrastructures and national bodies strongly interested in security issues. The mission of the Observatory is to monitor, also through new predictive and interpretative analysis models, the different phenomenologies that cross security issues, increasingly at the center of attention of public opinion, information bodies and the political system -institutional. The topics to be developed are identified in harmony with the National Anti-Mafia and Counter-Terrorism Directorate, with which Eurispes has signed a collaboration agreement.

The Observatory will therefore intensify its activity on the front of the analysis of new global threats through an ever greater collaboration with entities and organizations operating internationally on the subject of security. The new President, General Preziosa will be assisted by the two Vice-Presidents, Dr. Giovanni Russo, National Attorney at DNA, and Prof. Avv. Roberto De Vita.

Eurispes

Eurispes, Institute of Political, Economic and Social Studies founded and chaired by Gian Maria Fara, has been operating in the field of political, economic and social research since 1982. Since 1986 the Institute has been enrolled in the National Registry of Research Institutes of MIUR. In its thirty-five-year activity, Eurispes has carried out hundreds of searches. Eurispes' activity involves the creation and dissemination of various lines of research; partnership with other institutional and private entities; projects that develop some of the issues identified through constant monitoring of the Italian reality in comparison with European and non-European countries; promotion and implementation of meetings and conferences; training and dissemination of knowledge.

One example is the 13 National Reports on Childhood and Adolescence created in collaboration with the Telefono Azzurro; the 3 Reports on Italian Excellence; the 6 editions of the Report on agri-food crimes, produced in collaboration with Coldiretti.

There are more than 900 thousand pages of studies, analyzes, investigations and reflections produced; over 100 political and institutional hearings; built a press archive covering the last 30 years containing over 2 million articles cataloged for over 400 thematic items collected from the periodic and daily press. Eurispes has contributed to the emergence of numerous hidden or little known social phenomena, creating a real work of "social scouting".

Eurispes' activity has often animated the social, political and economic debate, inspiring, on numerous occasions, the activity of the Legislator, as in the case of the law on the obligation to wear a helmet, the law on pornography, and that on alcohol . The Institute's media coverage is evidenced by the over 150.000 articles, press titles, national and international radio and TV published on its activity. More than 15.000 books mention Eurispes.

Over the years the Institute has established a close relationship with the national and international scientific community, enhanced by a continuous exchange of information and experiences and by an intense collaboration in the organization of seminars, conferences, editorial initiatives, debates and conferences.

Lo independent study conducted annually by the University of Pennsylvania (USA) Eurispes ranks among the top 150 think tanks in the world for importance and authority.
