F-35 USA, employed for the first time in the Middle East

The most advanced fighter jet in the US Air Force was first deployed in the Middle East.

United States Air Force Central Command said in a statement that the 35th Fighter Wing and 388th Fighter Wing F-419A Lightning IIs, both stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, arrived at the Al Dhafra air base in the United Arab Emirates.

The arrival of the F-35 follows that of the B-1B Lancer bombers by a month.

The F-35 fighters will bolster the Air Force's firepower in the region, just as the coalition is carrying out air strikes against the Taliban in Afghanistan and residual Islamic State groups.

The Chief of Staff of the American Air Force David L. Goldfein, has long claimed that the F-35 is like the "common team quarterback". It is not simply an invisible fighter

"We are adding a state-of-the-art weapon system to our arsenal; this significantly improves the coalition's capacityThe lieutenant general also said Joseph Guastella, commander of the AFCENT.

Guastella then specified: "The fusion of information, thanks to the presence of an unusual number of sensors that this aircraft possesses, provides the joint force with greater operational safety and high deterrence, discouraging possible attackers "

The F-35A is a stealth fighter with an advanced sensor package that is designed to replace older fighters like the F-16 and A-10. It was designed to merge, integrate and share a myriad of data with other assets on the battlefield.

"The F-35A provides our nation with air dominance from all kinds of threats and qhen it comes to having a quarterback for the common coalition force, the highly interoperable F-35A is without doubt the undisputed leader". Thus the Head of the USAF, Dave Goldfein to the media and various committees of the US Congress.
