It is right to underline the gesture of the community of San Severo, which reminds once again that Italy has hospitality among its inalienable values. The Government is fully committed to the fight against corporals, to protect people's rights and to defend thousands of honest agricultural businesses. Together with the Ministers Catalfo and Lamorgese we are working on the plan to prevent and combat illegal hiring in agriculture. We have shared the first ten priority actions with agricultural organizations and social partners, we are ready to make it operational as early as the next few weeks ”.
These are the words spoken during the Angelus by the Pope: "I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the municipality and the diocese of San Severo, in Puglia, for the signing of the protocol of understanding that took place last Monday, 28 October, which will allow the laborers of the so-called ghettos of the captaincy in the Foggia region to obtain a domiciliation in the parishes and the registration to the municipal registry office, the possibility of having identity and residence documents will offer them new dignity and will allow them to exit from a condition of irregularity and exploitation. Many thanks to the municipality and all those who have worked in this plan".
