Lollobrigida: "Let's put resources online to enhance young people"

The memorandum of understanding between the National Network of Agricultural Institutes and ISMEA was signed today at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, on the initiative of Minister Francesco Lollobrigida. The aim of the agreement is to promote knowledge of the agri-food sector, disseminate data and information on the sector and provide students with opportunities for training and orientation on the services that the Institute makes available to young people. More specifically, the collaboration will take the form of direct involvement of the students of the Technical Institutes adhering to the Re.N.Is.A. in the activities organized by ISMEA, also at events and fairs in Italy and abroad, through the activation of orientation courses and training days on ISMEA services in support of entrepreneurship in agriculture as well as through the organization of study visits to companies farms that have activated one of the services offered by ISMEA.

"With this protocol that we signed today, we want to make the role of agricultural institutes increasingly distinctive and network the resources necessary to enhance young students and their educational path", declared the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and of the Forests Francesco Lollobrigida. “Masaf's will is to become central, with active policies that place the agricultural system, made up of training, development, transformation and distribution, into a single large supply chain. With the Meloni government we help and support our generations who represent the present and the future of agriculture and the nation".

"The protocol demonstrates how important it is for schools to belong to the networks and how the synergy between institutes, research centers and institutions can create a significant contribution to the educational path of children" - highlighted the Undersecretary for Education and Merit, Paola Frassinetti . “Ensuring multiple pathways, providing diversified ways of studying and new teaching tools is a fundamental moment for students. The collaboration activated by the Protocol will favor a series of activities and training days that will lead to greater direct involvement of pupils, exchange of experiences and growth, in a perspective that sees an ever greater convergence between ministries and schools".

“Competitive and cutting-edge agriculture requires increasingly advanced specialist skills, strategic vision and the ability to do business – underlined ISMEA General Manager Maria Chiara Zaganelli. “Focusing on the training of young people is vital for a sector called to face the complex climate-environmental challenges of the contemporary world and respond to the objectives assumed with the PNRR. With this memorandum of understanding, ISMEA intends to make its information assets, know-how and tools available to the Technical Institutes adhering to the Re.N.Is.A, with the aim of contributing to the development of professional figures in line with the needs of a sector increasingly oriented towards innovation and multifunctionality”.

"This day represents a very important historical moment for the National Network of Agricultural Institutes which is represented by technicians and professionals and there are over 260 throughout Italy", highlighted the president of the National Network of Agricultural Institutes (Re.N.Is.A .) Patricia Marini. "It is the first time, in fact, that a memorandum of understanding has been signed with the Ministry of Agriculture and with Ismea to further raise the value of all the educational and training courses, therefore a special thanks to the President of Ismea, but especially to the Minister for what he is doing".
