The Ministry of Economy and Finance announces that in the period January-May 2023, tax revenues ascertained on the basis of the juridical competence criterion amounted to 192.073 million euros (+6.178 million euros), +3,3% compared to the same period of 2022.
In particular, in the first five months of the year direct taxes recorded an increase in revenue of 4.012 million euros (+4,2%), while indirect taxes had an increase of 2.166 million euros (+2,4 %).
With regard to the month of May 2023 alone, tax revenues amounted to 41.166 million euros (+1.355 million euros, +3,4% compared to the same month of 2022). In the same period of the year, direct taxes showed an increase in revenue of 1.537 million euros (+8,8%) while indirect taxes showed a negative change of 182 million euros (-0,8%).
