Life-saving flight for a child of 6 months from Cagliari to Rome

It is landed in the early afternoon of today at Ciampino airport, coming from Cagliari, a Falcon 50 of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino of the Air Force with on board a six month old baby in imminent danger of life for a serious pathology and in need of care at the "Bambino Gesù" pediatric hospital in Rome.

The mission, at the request of the Cagliari Prefecture, was coordinated by the Squadron Air Force Command Summit Situation, which set off the take-off of one of the H24 ready-made crews for this kind of needs.

Aircrew crews and transport aircraft are ready day and night to ensure, when required and deemed necessary for reasons of urgency, the medical transport of people in imminent danger of life. Every year thousands of flight times are carried out by the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino, the 14 ° Stormo di Pratica di Mare and the 46ª Air Brigade of Pisa, always on the front lines in case of emergency.
