La Directorate General for Communication of the European Parliament promotes an institutional campaign to raise awareness of the European vote. This campaign will be officially launched next 9 May, on the occasion of Europe day, one month before the elections to encourage the widest participation in the vote.

For this reason, the Administration municipality of Colleferro, precisely in relation to the European values ​​that we intend to transmit to the young people of the area, has decided to light up in blue, the color of the European flag, the Square dedicated to Willy Montero Duarte, future Tuesday 7 May at 20.30 pm and invites all citizens to participate in this event.

Europe Day

Europe Day, which takes place every year on May 9, celebrates peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of historic statement in which the then French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman set out the idea of ​​a new form of political collaboration in Europe, which would make war between European nations unthinkable. Schuman's proposal is considered the birth certificate of what is now the European Union.

On Europe Day on 9 May, citizens will have the opportunity to visit EU institutions in Brussels and elsewhere to learn more about what Europe does for them and with them. Citizens will be invited to attend live performances and participate in debates, games and other activities.
