Specifically, for the CAP Reform, proposals for environmental climate commitments will be discussed; to financial flexibility in direct payments, to the national strategic plan, to sectoral interventions, to the resources available to the future European agricultural strategy. Objective: to arrive at the Agrifish Council next December with an updated proposal.

Hence, US duties, an item on the agenda after Minister Teresa Bellanova's firm stance last week with the letter sent to Phil Hogan where the Minister urged, together with the discussion in the Council, concrete initiatives to prevent pay for the trade war were the Italian agri-food companies with the well-founded risk of enormous economic and corporate repercussions Finally, again at the Italian request, the Agriculture Council will discuss the Asian bug emergency in Northern Italy which has already caused very significant damage to the fruit and vegetable sector particularly affecting apples, pears, kiwis, peaches, cherries, apricots and nurseries.

In this regard, our country will support the need to adopt specific measures to deal with the emergency, as well as a request for derogations in the context of the CMO regulation in order to safeguard the financial resources assigned to producer organizations.
