The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Division of the Colleferro Company have arrested a 27-year-old foreigner, already known to the police, in flagrante delicto, seriously suspected of aggravated theft near a well-known supermarket in Colleferro.

Specifically, yesterday afternoon, the military, during targeted prevention services near commercial activities, received a report from the internal security staff of a shopping centre. The military intervened immediately inside the supermarket where they blocked the 27-year-old. The young man had paid for some products, worth a few euros, then went beyond the anti-shoplifting barriers with his backpack full of beauty products and mosquito repellents worth a total of around 450 euros. The military, in addition to acquiring the report from the manager of the business, also acquired the images of the video surveillance system which document the moments in which the man took possession of the stolen goods, which were entirely returned to the person entitled to them.

In the morning, the Velletri Court validated the arrest and sentenced the 27-year-old to four months in prison (with a suspended sentence) and a 200 euro fine, subject to plea bargaining.
