He had left for a solo excursion on the Lepini Mountains but lost his orientation and was unable to retrace the path that would bring him back to his car.
A bad adventure that happened to a 23-year-old boy, who was later tracked down by the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Colleferro.
The amateur hiker left early yesterday morning from the municipality of Bassiano (LT), arrived on Monte Sempervisa - in the territory of the municipality of Carpineto Romano - losing his bearings and contacting his mother for help. After the call received at the Operations Center of the Carabinieri Company of Colleferro, the soldiers set the rescue machine in motion.
The Carabinieri of the Carpineto Romano station, thanks to the knowledge of the Lepini Mountains area, at 17 pm, managed to understand the position in which the young man was.
Frightened and exhausted, also because of the cold, but fortunately unharmed, the hiker was transported to the Carabinieri station which after being refreshed was able to return home.
