Education Minister Patrizio Bianchi met with UK Ambassador Jill Morris this afternoon

At the center of the interview, which follows the participation of Minister Bianchi in the Youth4Climate initiative in Milan, the collaboration between the two countries in view of the United Nations Conference on climate change COP26, which will take place in November in Glasgow, under the British presidency, and which also includes a focus on environmental education.

There was also an exchange of views on the start of the school year in Italy and the United Kingdom. In this regard, Ambassador Morris expressed great interest in the Government's commitment to ensure the safe reopening of schools, thanks also to the vaccination campaign that involved school staff, female students and students, as well as the Summer School plan, which involved schools through actions aimed at recovering teaching and social skills. Similar interest was expressed regarding the possible strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Italy and the United Kingdom in the field of education and teaching of the Italian and English languages ​​in their respective countries.
