The ordinary procedures for the recruitment of teachers are underway

The ordinary competitions for teachers have started. It starts with those dedicated to the 'STEM' scientific disciplines for lower and upper secondary school. Today, in the Official Gazette, the announcement that simplifies the rules of the competition, implementing the provisions of the new support decree approved in May and of the law decree number 44 of 2021, which made it possible to make competitions more agile in the pandemic period.

Physics, Mathematics, Mathematics and Physics, Mathematics and Sciences, Computer Science and Technologies, these are the disciplines involved in the first round of competition, also in line with the strengthening measures for learning these disciplines contained in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The 'STEM' procedure will be quick: there will be a computer based multiple disciplinary written test, which will also include English and IT, and an oral test. Then we will proceed with the ranking.

The written tests will take place in July, on days 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

There are 6.129 places available, divided between the various disciplines, over 60.000 candidates and candidates enrolled in the tests. The largest share of candidates (see attached table) compete for Mathematics and Science (class A28 - lower secondary schools): there are over 39 thousand.

The tests will be prepared by the Ministry which will make use of several universities for their drafting.
