Infrastructure and economic recovery at the center of the meeting between Minister De Micheli and the US ambassador Eisenberg

A very cordial and fruitful meeting, yesterday at the MIT, between the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Paola De Micheli and the US Ambassador to Italy, Lewis Michael Eisenberg.

At the center of the interview are the measures put in place by Italy to tackle the Covid-19 epidemic in the emergency phase, the plan the Government is working on to revive the economy.

"We have explored the strategic issue of strengthening infrastructures - underlines Minister Paola De Micheli - in particular of ports, airports, the railway network and the development of intermodality in support of the economic recovery and the reduction of the gap between North and South of the Country".

"Ambassador Eisenberg said - adds the minister - to look forward to the plan and that he would be happy to inform American companies of the investment opportunities that could arise.

The economic relations between our countries are of great importance, thanks also to the Italian companies in the infrastructure sector that successfully operate in the highly competitive US market ".
