The Institute has published on its website a document that summarizes the main changes relating to the discipline of income support treatments (ordinary layoffs and solidarity allowances from the solidarity funds and the wage integration fund) introduced by the decree law of 19 May. 2020, n. 34, the so-called Relaunch decree.
The most important innovations concern: the possibility of requesting a further period of 5 weeks with the national COVID-19 causal, with a more streamlined procedure than in the past; the introduction of more stringent deadlines for submitting applications with the provision of a penalty in cases where the application is presented after the established deadline; the granting of the allowance for the family unit to the beneficiaries of the ordinary allowance following the suspension or reduction of working activity as a result of the COVID-19 emergency; the provision that the additional 5 weeks of Wage Supplement in derogation will be authorized directly by INPS, to which applications will have to be submitted starting from 18 June.
In the coming days, INPS will issue the circular specifications that will regulate the various aspects of the discipline introduced by the new legislation.
