Also this year Milan hosted SMAU: the international roadshow which aims to connect the Italian innovation ecosystem with the main hubs on a global scale.

The aim of the event is to allow integration and make the players participating in the initiative interact, to develop partnerships and allow all participants to adopt the "best practices" generated by the new synergies.

INPS has renewed its participation, offering the contribution that the Institute is giving - in terms of Open Innovation - to the world of Public Administration.

Among the initiatives involving INPS, the one which saw the Central Director of Communication as protagonist Diego De Felice, focused on the new online portal, conceived in a user-centric manner and winner of the SMAU Innovation Award.

De Felice, who spoke at the live show “Sustainable digital platforms and processes at the service of the customer journey”, spoke of an important recognition “Because it attests to the Institute's role in social innovation. INPS demonstrates its strong focus on digital and technological innovation. The portal is a clear example of this: we developed it with the IT Department of the Institute, as part of a Pnrr project".

And precisely on the PNRR De Felice recalled the feat achieved by INPS: "We participated in 70 projects in the two-year period 2022/2023 and, as certified by the Department of Digital Transformation, three months from the end of the year we achieved all the set targets ”.

The manager of the IT Technology and Innovation Central Directorate also spoke about the recognition Guido Ceccarelli who led the project: “I am very happy with the award given to the PNRR project 'Internet portal refactoring' for the complete redesign of the INPS institutional website, the first publication of which took place in February 2023 approximately eighteen months after its launch. It was an innovative experience in all aspects, in which the changes concerned both technology and project methodology, with a multifunctional working group of over 60 professionals, including internal resources from different IT areas and INPS managements, integrated by system integrator and vendor specialists. The agile approach to the project and with a specific user-centric focus saw the involvement of users right from the conceptual design phases, with several refinement cycles and a public demo phase as early as December 2022, which allowed obtain important confirmation from the feedback already with the first release. This recognition above all rewards the constant and continuous commitment of the work group, which, seizing the opportunity given by the changes introduced, was able to operate as a team without internal distinctions, with the sole objective of creating value for users".

He also participated in the event Giuseppe Conte, the Institute's Human Resources Manager (speaking at a round table on the topic "Good practices for disseminating the culture of innovation in the company") with the aim of sharing experiences on change management issues. Conte recalled how: “The objective we have set ourselves as an Institute is to guarantee an investment in young people, to transfer transversal skills useful for remodulating processes. In this way INPS aims to develop on the one hand a broad-spectrum vision on the design of digital services aimed at users, which is the very meaning of our presence here; on the other to guarantee full efficiency of administrative action, creating added value for both the internal and external user".

Finally Giacomo Grassi, manager for the User Experience and Digital Processes area, underlined the importance and value of INPS participation in this event: “Inps in recent years has made a formidable step forward in terms of quality and ease of use of its touchpoints digital. The new portal, released in February, is perhaps the most tangible example of this revolution, which is progressively showing its fruits to the public".
