During the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Director General of Public Security in charge of the Coordination and Planning of the Police Forces, Prefect Maria Teresa Sempreviva and the Director of the International Relations Service of the Office for Coordination, Senior Officer of the Police of Stato Eufemia ESPOSITO, many of the most current and relevant issues related to police cooperation were dealt with. In particular, on the operational side, the resumption and increase of joint patrols both in Italy and in Poland, interrupted due to COVID restrictions, the prevention and fight against cybercrime, in particular with reference to the proliferation of illicit trafficking on the dark web. The bilateral dialogue then addressed the delicate issue of the pandemic.

In this regard, Prefect Giannini wished to be able to initiate an interview with all his European colleagues on the impact of the same in the organization and in police work and on the new challenges to internal and international public order with which all the Forces police will be called upon to compete.

At the end of the talks, the Chief of Police - Director General of Italian Public Security thanked General SZYMCZYK for the "Police Merit" medals awarded by the Minister of the Interior and the Polish Administration, Mariusz KAMIŃSKI, to members of the State Police , Arma dei Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza.

The delivery of the honors took place at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Rome in the presence of Ambassador Anna Maria ANDERS, General SZYMCZYK himself and Prefect Maria Teresa Sempreviva.
