Kim ready to meet Trump and discuss about denuclearization

North Korea has directly confirmed to the Trump administration its willingness to negotiate a possible denuclearization with the United States. This was reported by administration sources, thus confirming that US and North Korean officials have recently had secret contacts in which Pyongyang has directly confirmed its willingness to hold the summit between Donald Trump and King Jong which should take place in May.

"The United States has confirmed that Kim Jong Un is willing to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula," said an administration source. While another source confirmed that North Korean representatives delivered a direct message to the White House, in which there would be reassurance regarding Kim's intentions on the meeting.

Trump announced in March that he had accepted the offer of a meeting with the North Korean leader presented by South Korean envoys during a mission to Washington, but so far Pyongyang has not commented on the matter. Regarding the offer to discuss denuclearization, American sources still call for caution, underlining that so far Pyongyang has not offered any indications on its positions in any negotiations.
