As reported by CNN, Steve Bannon, the former chief strategist of President Donald Trump at the center of the explosive revelations contained in the book Michael Wolff, had already tried to discredit the billionaire in 2015, during the Republican primary.
CNN explained that Bannon, when the fate of the presidential elections were not yet clear, was at the head of a consortium that was looking for material to associate Trump with criminal mafia. Then, Bannon, would change his mind in the race, climbing on the wagon of the winner saw the overwhelming success of Trump during the primaries that led him to the nomination of the Grand Old Party (GOP) and then to the presidency.
