The Military Air Force tests the heliport for the G7 of Taormina

Tested today in Taormina, at the municipal swimming pool, the first helicopter pad built by the 3rd Engineering Department of the Air Force of Bari to facilitate the movement of participants in the May G7. On board the HH139 of the 15 ° Stormo the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Squad General Enzo Vecciarelli, who took the opportunity to meet the staff still busy in the final stages of the work assigned to the Armed Force. Specifically, it is a second helipad, in Piano Porto, and the maintenance of the Palazzo dei Congressi which is taking place in close synergy with the National Fire Brigade.

The fruitful collaboration with the Extraordinary Commissioner for the realization of the works in Taormina, with the regional, provincial and communal administrations has allowed to keep the commitments assumed respecting the times.

"I brought the greetings of the Chief of Defense Staff, General Graziano, to all the soldiers of the various Armed Forces who have been operating in full interforce spirit, for some months now, to make available logistical structures that are indispensable for carrying out an event of primary importance for the country.

At the G7 in Taormina, in a relationship of close synergy with the Police Forces, the Armed Forces will be present with almost 3000 soldiers to ensure security as has already happened in the past during major events such as the Expo and the Jubilee, coordination that has allowed for perfect successful, ”said General Vecciarelli.
