Leonardo: Petroleum Air Services adds the sixth AW139 to its helicopter fleet for offshore transport operations in Egypt

Leonardo today announced that the Egyptian helicopter operator Petroleum Air Services will be adding a sixth AW139 for offshore transportation operations in the country to its helicopter fleet later this year.

Petroleum Air Services has been using AW139 helicopters to support the Oil & Gas industry in Egypt since 2009. More than 12.900 flight hours have been accumulated since then and over 95.000 passengers have been transported with the highest safety standards. Numbers that demonstrate how AW139 represents for Petroleum Air Services a key resource able to meet the most stringent requirements of customers in the sector, particularly suitable for operations carried out in the most distant exploration areas.

With the addition of the sixth AW139, Petroleum Air Services will be able to support even more effectively the expansion plans of offshore transport and exploration activities in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
