General Khalifa Haftar's self-proclaimed Libyan National Army (LNA) military operation south of Sebha in southern Libya "is intended to protect the country and the people" and is not intended to target any specific tribe or social component in the region . This is what we read in a statement released yesterday by the LNA and relaunched this morning by Ahmed al Mismari, spokesman for Haftar's forces. This was reported by the Italian news agency Nova.

"The Libyan National Army is a national body that aims to protect the country and the people. We will not side with any social component against another. We are all Libyan citizens. Our goal is a united Libya”Wrote Al Mismari on Twitter. The clashes between the LNA and some unspecified Chadian armed groups are concentrated in particular in the area between Ghadwa and Mazraq. According to the Sebha Medical Center, last February 28st the toll of the fighting was at least five dead and XNUMX wounded.
