The operation is part of a strategy to strengthen its proximity to companies in central and northern Italy. Since 2018 Lifeanalytics has invested over 200 million euros in acquisitions

The Lifeanalytics Group today announces the acquisition of two new laboratories in the ecological and environmental analysis sector, strengthening its leadership in the sector and its proximity to companies in Northern and Central Italy. The company, which has specialized for over 40 years in chemical, microbiological and biological analysis services, now has 28 laboratories spread across 14 regions.

The two new analytical centers joining the Group's network are the Merone (Como) and Lastra a Signa (Florence) laboratory of Synlab Analytics & Services, for a total value of 4 million euros, according to estimates by the turnover 2019. Both laboratories are highly specialized: thanks to the processing of about 50 thousand samples per year, they are a point of reference for companies that certify their commitment to environmental sustainability.

The Lifeanalytics operation is part of a strategy, also shared with its owner Lifebrain, based on the integration of new laboratories for an investment that exceeded 200 million euros, from the Group's foundation in 2018 to today. Just a few weeks ago the company had expanded its expertise in the sector of food analysis, collective catering and large-scale distribution, concluding two other new acquisitions (Chimiclab in Rome and 3A in Padua).

"In recent years, an increasing number of companies have chosen to integrate environmental sustainability into their business management and strategy, committing themselves to contribute not only to improving atmospheric conditions and the well-being of the entire community but also to raising their standards - explains Giovanni Giusto, CEO of Lifeanalytics - Our strategy of acquiring laboratories aims precisely to satisfy this growing need of companies to certify this ecological commitment quickly and accurately. Being part of a national network guarantees our laboratories adherence to high standards of analysis both in terms of quality and safety. The efficiency and standardization of processes are therefore the basis for us to bring innovation to our sector, using cutting-edge technological equipment to carry out increasingly in-depth investigations and increasing the workforce with an increasingly specialized and competent team ".

The integration of new realities this year, despite the covid-19 pandemic, has allowed the network to forecast a positive closure of + 4% compared to 2019 with an estimated turnover of 45 million euros for 2020. Already in August the estimates had turned out to be positive: compared to the same month last year the company recorded + 22% and, in anticipation, in the autumn period the Group will score an estimated + 10% monthly, recovering most of the losses suffered during the lockdown .

"Closing the year with a positive turnover compared to the previous year is an important signal: it shows that Italian companies are not giving up, despite this complex period, continuing to want to demonstrate their commitment to respecting high standards of quality, production and safety ”concludes Giovanni Giusto.
