Liguria: Mit meets committee to save Genoa and Liguria

The meeting with the delegation of the “Save Genoa and Liguria” Committee took place at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. The purpose of the meeting is to define the methods of ascertaining, as announced on 21 July by Minister Paola De Micheli in Genoa, of the negative economic effects resulting from the interruptions and queues that have affected the Liguria Region in recent months due to the many open construction sites for tunnel inspections and ordinary and extraordinary maintenance conducted by the ASPI company. Minister De Micheli, Undersecretary Roberto Traversi and the Committee represented by Giuseppe Tagnochetti, Giampaolo Botta, Massimo Giacchetta, Giovanni Mondini, Paolo Odone participated.

It has been agreed to establish a Mit-Committee working group aimed at quickly identifying the damage measurement methods and their quantification starting from December 2019.

The minister has undertaken to guarantee that the compensation will be paid by Autostrade per l'Italia.

By Tuesday 4 August the Committee will communicate to MIT the names of the participants in the working group which will take immediate action to present the results in the meeting already convened for 2 September 2020 at MIT.
