The Italian eye in space sees the new Genoa Bridge for the first time

COSMO-SkyMed, constellation of the Italian Space and Defense Agency, created by the companies of Leonardoyesterday produced the first image of the new Genoa bridge, completed with the installation of the last span on April 28th. Leonardo, through e-GEOS (joint venture between Telespazio and the Italian Space Agency), acquired the image of the structure at 19:26 Italian (17:26 UTC) yesterday, 29 April. The panoramic image, with the pixel detail for 1 meter, shows the bridge now completed in all its 1067 meters in length.

COSMO-SkyMed, a program funded by the Italian Space Agency and the Ministry of Defense, is the fruit and expression of the best skills of the Italian space industry, with Leonardo and its joint ventures Thales Alenia Space and Telespazio. The first generation has four satellites, while the first satellite of the second generation was launched in December 2019. e-GEOS receives, processes and markets the images all over the world.
