"The Meloni government is working to strengthen dialogue within the European framework, while putting our nation in a position to develop its business". This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, Francesco Lollobrigida, speaking at the XXVII edition of the Seminar of the British Press, organized by the Italian Embassy in London and which was held this morning at the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista in Venice.

“Over the years we have chosen long supply chains which, in this precise geopolitical context, have created problems in the supply of energy or raw materials such as wheat or fertilizers in the agricultural sector. A lack of self-sufficiency that undermines independence and delivers us into the hands of those who can turn off a switch to cancel a production model and consequently a development model”, added Minister Lollobrigida.

“The executive – he continued – wants to dialogue with the fundamental British market. This is why we work to develop an ever stronger relationship, enhancing a system made of quality, which does not consider food as a fuel but as an element of civilization".

“Italy is often accused of entrepreneurial dwarfism, but for the agricultural sector it is not a defect to have companies linked to the typicality of the territory. With Ambassador Inigo Lambertini, whom I thank for the opportunity to discuss with journalists from the United Kingdom, we are aiming for an initiative in London, to make our products of excellence known and to defend the British citizen from counterfeit goods that are not Italian they have nothing”, concluded Minister Lollobrigida.
