Navy, record "6000" flight hours for Vincenzo Iozzi

   

The lieutenant Vincent Iozzi, EH-101 Helicopter Flight Operator of the Navy, has recently reached the important milestone of 6000 flight hours carried out on board the Armed Forces helicopters.

This remarkable result was achieved during 28 years of honorable career spent in the helicopter cabin SH-3D ed EH-101 of the Italian Navy, flying from the ground and from the ships of the Naval Squadron, in all the operational theaters where the Armed Force was called to intervene.

Lieutenant Iozzi is currently employed at the 3 ° Helicopters Group di Maristaeli Catania and is the first Flight Operator of the Italian Navy to enter the 6000 flight hours in their flight booklet. This goal was reached, at the end of the mission that allowed to reach the 6000 hours, waiting for the commander and many colleagues of the 3 ° Group.

Visibly excited, the lieutenant Iozzi "I am only now aware that I have reached a very important milestone and, despite the surprise and personal emotion I feel, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who in the past years, superiors and colleagues, have supported me and pushed me to do always better, especially the Navy, which allowed me to work on helicopters with extraordinary performances and equipped with cutting-edge equipment. I don't want to stop here and with the support of my family and all colleagues of the 3rd Group, I want to aspire with enthusiasm to new ambitious goals!".

At the end of the day, the lieutenant received, through the commander of the Air Force of the Italian Navy, rear-admiral Placido Torresi, the congratulations of the entire Naval Aviation, together with the wish to celebrate the ambitious 7000 milestone!
