Inps Doctors, agreement signed between the Institute and trade unions

Greater protection and strengthening of collaboration

Yesterday, INPS and the most representative trade union organizations at national level signed two important national collective agreements:

  • the Agreement governing the conferral of professional appointments aimed at ensuring the supervision of the functions relating to civil disability and the medico-legal activities in social security and welfare matters entrusted to INPS;
  • and the Agreement for approved fiscal medicine.

These are two agreements that highlight a structured collaboration, already active for many years, between the Institute and the trade associations concerned.

By virtue of these agreements, INPS will be able to assign assignments of up to 35 hours per week to a maximum of 820 doctors, in a freelance regime in agreement, for the performance of functions relating to civil and medico-legal disability. Among other things, doctors will also deal with the competences of the Medical Verification Commissions, transferred to INPS by the “Tax Simplification” Decree.

Furthermore, the Institute will be able to contract about 1.000 fiscal doctors, for the carrying out of home check-ups of all workers, public and private, in sickness.

"The agreements signed today consolidate an important pact with the doctors who support the INPS in defending the rights of the weakest sections of the population - declared Pasquale Tridico, President of INPS - guaranteeing contracted doctors important contractual and social security safeguards necessary to strengthen the relationship of trust that exists between the Institute and the medical profession, in the interest of citizens ”.
