The videoconference meeting between Minister Paola De Micheli and the Councilor for Transport of the Sardinia Region Giorgio Todde on the theme of territorial continuity was held today at MIT. Minister De Micheli illustrated to the councilor the outcome of the confrontation with the EU Commission and the new structure that will take into account the requests made by Europe.
"The Government soon guaranteed the definition of the new calls for tenders - explained the minister - section by section, with the exception of Livorno-Cagliari, informing the Region on the political and administrative steps of the affair, with a view to collaboration between the institutions . Also for the Genoa - Olbia route, as indicated by the Region, the results of the technical procedure of the Transport Authority and the assessments on flows, the conditions exist for their return to the market ".
“We represented the current critical situation to the minister - said Councilor Todde - and we shared a path to guarantee mobility to the Sardinians and safeguard the economy of the island. The solution outlined by De Micheli, even after our observations, leads us at this stage to be optimistic - both for the times that have been proposed and for the contents - on the definition of the tender for maritime continuity ”.
