Every Friday the new Meteo #WeekEnd column on the social channels of the Italian Air Force
Starting from Friday 5 February, the weather forecasts of the Air Force will also be available on the social channels of the Armed Force with the section #WeekEnd Weather. The offer of the Meteorological Service of the AM, a fundamental asset for military and civilian flight assistance but also a privileged supplier of weather forecasts for the general public.
This new space dedicated to meteorology - online every Friday with the forecasts for the entire weekend - will also be included in the weekly Video News AM.
The social platforms Facebook (@AeronauticaMilitareOfficialPage), Twitter (@ItalianAirForce) Instagram (@air Force), youtube (@Air Force), Telegram (air Force) and LinkedIn (@air Force), which reach thousands of users every day, will contribute to increasing the range of weather information collected and processed by the Armed Force, with increasingly modern, effective and updated language and content.
An additional service available to the public, which is added to the portal dedicated to meteorology www.meteoam.it , in the wake of an almost century-old tradition carried on by the Air Force in the field of meteorology.
The Weather Service of the Italian Air Force, in addition to providing weather support to the entire defense sector, represents the country in various international organizations for the development of forecasting models, satellite meteorology and Space Weather. The Permanent Representative of Italy to the WMO (World Meteorological Organization) expresses. Operating for almost 100 years for the community through a network of 138 observation stations, the Air Force ensures every day, every hour, the emissions of bulletins that are essential not only for flight safety, but also for many other activities.
