International and national drug trafficking: the State Police dismantle two criminal organizations by executing, between Italy and Albania, a precautionary detention order against 37 people. Real estate, companies and vehicles seized.
The State Police of Milan, from the early hours of the day, executed a precautionary detention order issued by the GIP at the Court of Milan, at the request of the local DDA, against 37 people, of which: 36 in prison and 1 under house arrest, of prevailing Italian and Albanian nationality, considered in various capacities to participate or in any case connected to two criminal associations aimed at international and national drug trafficking.
The operation, conducted by the policemen of the Anti-drug Section of the Mobile Squad and coordinated by the Milan DDA, originates from the execution of the precautionary custody order against the "prison killer", carried out by the Mobile Squad on 2 October 2018, in scope of the “Miracle” operation.
On that occasion, the prison killer was arrested because he was found in possession of about 28 kg. Of hashish, about 1,7 kg. Of cocaine, two clandestine guns, a silencer for a short weapon, 18 cartridges.
The development of some circumstantial elements that emerged during the search of the man, allowed the agents of the Anti-Drug Section to develop a new investigative line against some Italians residing in the city of Milan, dedicated to drug trafficking both in the Milan province, with prevalence in the south-west area of the city and in the municipalities of Corsico, Buccinasco and Trezzano Sul Naviglio, and in some regions of central-southern Italy, such as Emilia Romagna, Lazio and Puglia.
The investigation activity, in this context, made it possible to reveal the existence of a real criminal association, made up of Italian subjects, aimed at the purchase, deposit and subsequent placing on the market, in an almost incessant way, of various quantities of three different types of drugs: cocaine, hashish and marijuana.
The continuation of the investigative activity focused the attention of the agents of the Anti-Drugs Section also on another organization, composed of Albanian subjects, dedicated to the importation into the national territory of large quantities of cocaine, which, on the one hand, supplied the Italian group continued to use this narcotic substance and, on the other hand, collaborated with it in the distribution of the narcotic substance on the Milan market.
Both criminal organizations have proven to have a solid, pyramid-like structure, with well-defined roles of associates, drug storage locations and vehicles equipped with hidden craft compartments, suitable for concealing drugs and money.
The investigation activity involved, in its course, 12 arrests in the act of crime and the seizure of 4 kg. about cocaine, 35 kg. about hashish and 52 kg. about marijuana, about 260 thousand euros of cash, as well as two pistols, one of which has a silencer, and ammunition of various kinds.
Against two of the Albanian suspects who were the recipients of the precautionary measure, as residing in Albania, the prosecuting AG issued a provision authorizing the international dissemination of the research. For this reason, thanks to the collaboration of the Service for International Police Cooperation and the Security Expert's Office in Tirana of the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police, the collateral body of the Albanian Police, simultaneously with the execution of the precautionary measure in Italy, tracked down the two suspects in the cities of residence and proceeded to execute the provisional arrest in execution of the measure, pending extradition to Italy.
At the same time as the personal precautionary measure, the preventive seizure of two real estate units located in Milan, of 3 scooters, 2 motorcycles and 9 cars was carried out.
Lastly, numerous searches were carried out both against the recipients of the precautionary measures and against persons connected in various ways with them.
