Russian Minister Novak, Gazprom and Novatek Invest in Gas Pipelines and Gnl Terminals in Morocco

Gazprom and Novatek are ready to participate in the construction of gas pipelines and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in Morocco. This is what was declared by the Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak, in an interview broadcast by the television station "Rossiya 24". “Our companies are interested in participating in such projects. We are ready to supply liquefied natural gas, build pipelines and terminals, ”said the minister. Morocco plans to increase gas consumption and expand its gas-fired power plants. For Novak, Russia's plan is to build a regasification terminal, a gas pipeline and a power plant with a generation capacity of 2,4 gigawatts of power. “In this regard Gazprom and Novatek are ready to participate in this large-scale project. Discussions are underway on supplies of liquefied natural gas, in particular by Yamal-Lng and Arctic Lng ”, added the Russian energy minister. "In my opinion, this is an ambitious plan on a large scale and is part of our cooperation with Morocco", stressed Novak, adding that Moscow has the skills and technologies to carry out these projects. Finally, the minister revealed that between Moscow and Rabat they will continue and the Moroccan government should present the parameters of the project in the near future.
