MIPAAF, Bellanova: “first of all rigor is needed. The priority is to ensure the food supply chain. No to street auctioneers "

“A lot of rigor is needed: for those who govern and for those who oppose. We avoid doing street auctioneers, we don't promise things that we are not in a position to keep. I say this first of all to those who have government responsibilities ”. So the Minister Teresa Bellanova, speaking this morning to the microphones of "Radioinblu".

"In this country," continued Bellanova, "we are dealing with problems that we have been carrying on for years. And for this we must be able to weigh all decisions with a very precise hierarchy of priorities. Guaranteeing resources to the food chain, to a sector that guarantees our stores, brings food to our homes, is strategic and essential, a priority. Hundreds of thousands of agricultural businesses and over 1 million and 400 thousand workers in the agri-food sector are maintaining production and products, knowing full well that the countryside has rhythms that must be respected. We must take care of the resources that we are investing to face the emergency, avoiding that they can be unloaded on our children. For this, great selective capacity is required. We must intervene on those sectors actually affected by the crisis, on those sectors that risk seeing a year of work destroyed. Saying yes to everyone means exactly hovering that future that we must protect instead ".
