“The simplification decree contains important rules in support of Eipli and the reclamation consortia. In particular, the extension to 31/12/20 of fixed-term contracts expiring and no longer extendable on the basis of the previous provisions, allows EIPLI to continue management while maintaining the minimum levels necessary for the continuation of the service in view of the necessary establishment of the new company to which the management of the infrastructures currently managed by the body will be conferred.
The provision also provides for measures to safeguard resources destined for the construction and maintenance of infrastructural works, including irrigation and hydraulic remediation, which are strategic for southern agriculture but also for the civil and industrial water supply of the same areas.
