Mipaaf: State-Regions agreement reached on measures in fruit and vegetables and livestock farming

The State-Regions Conference, which ended yesterday, expressed the agreement on some ministerial decrees concerning the recognition and management of the activity of producer organizations in the fruit and vegetable sector, to which are added provisions in the livestock sector.

A first decree updates some provisions necessary to bring national legislation into line with that of the Community and to encourage the establishment of producer organizations in Regions where none are yet recognized.

With the second provision, some important derogations from national provisions were granted, in order to facilitate producer organizations in the implementation of their respective operational programs for the year 2021 and to overcome the problems caused by the pandemic.

These two measures testify to the Government's attention to the most representative sectors of Italian and European agriculture and complement the provisions for livestock farming: agreement reached on a third decree which further extends the deadline of the Certification cards of qualified workers in the classification of carcasses of cattle, pigs and sheep. The persistence of the difficulties deriving from Covid-31 in fact does not yet allow for the preparation of courses for the renewal of cards.
