Negotiations for the export of Italian rice to China concluded: the Italian Embassy in Beijing announced today that all the Italian rice mills that had requested to export to China have been authorized by the competent Chinese authorities, applying the protocol signed between the two parts on April 8, 2020.

With this last step, the process that led to the opening of the Chinese market to Italian rice is finally concluded and the authorized operators will be able to start the first shipments to China.

This result is the result of a long and demanding negotiation activity that involved the National Phytosanitary Service, in close synergy with the operators and scientific bodies of reference in the sector, the other structures of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, the regional institutions and our diplomatic mission in Beijing.
