The two-day visit of the Minister of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies, sen. Gian Marco Centinaio in Russia. The trip will be an opportunity to consolidate institutional relations with representatives of the Kremlin, meet entrepreneurs and members of the Italian business community and visit the Prodexpo Fair, the largest exhibition in the food, beverage and raw food sectors in the Russian market.
The first appointment scheduled for today is the meeting, in the afternoon, with the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, delegated to tourism, Sergei Sergeevich Galkin. The summit will be an opportunity to consolidate tourist exchanges with the Russian market and identify new market segments, starting with the one related to food and wine tourism.
In the evening the Minister will meet the counterpart of the Department of Industry and International Trade, Denis Manturov and a representative of Italian entrepreneurs.
Tomorrow's day will be dedicated to the visit of the Prodexpo Fair, the biggest exhibition of the food industry in Russia and one of the most important sectoral appointments for both producers and buyers in the agri-food sector. Italy will be present with the "The Extraordinary Italian Taste" Hall.
Finally, on Wednesday afternoon, Minister Gian Marco Centinaio will visit the slaughtering and processing plant of the Maar-Cremonini meat of Odinzovo (in the Moscow region), one of the most important and active Italian companies in the Russian Federation, and which created an industry for the entire region, traditionally one of the richest areas of the Federation of cattle, but totally devoid of a modern processing industry.
