Mission in Afghanistan: important inter-agency security meeting

The TAAC-W of the mission in Afghanistan organizes a meeting with the heads of the organization and security of the western region

At Camp Arena, headquarters of the Training Advise Assist Command West (TAAC-W) of Herat, led by the "Pozzuolo del Friuli" Cavalry Brigade, the first meeting was held between all the managers of the organization and safety of the provinces of the region west of Afghanistan (Herat, Badghis, Farah and Ghor), a geographic area equal to the whole of Northern Italy.

Donation campaignThe meeting was attended by the governors and provincial directors of the National Directorate of Security of the West, the Commander of the 207 Afghan Army Corps, the Unit responsible for the area under the responsibility of the TAAC-W, the commanders of the dependent brigades and police command of the four western provinces.

During the "Western Security Shura" the security framework was discussed for the upcoming presidential elections and changes in the economic and social field in the western part of the country. The debate led to the choice of common lines to be implemented.

The Afghan authorities summoned to Camp Arena were able to seize the various coordination opportunities and identify possible future challenges together, which they could face through a more effective joint collaboration.

Resolute Support Mission is made up of soldiers of 39 nations, all united in a single purpose, that of contributing to training, assistance and consultancy in favor of local Institutions and Security Forces in order to facilitate the conditions for the creation of a state of law, credible and transparent institutions and above all, autonomous and well-equipped security forces. This path is leading the Afghan Security Forces to take on the task of guaranteeing the security of the country and of its fellow countrymen.
