Motorways of the Sea: "Framework protocol between Customs Agencies and Monopolies and Transport is underway"

In a press release, the Customs and Monopoly Agency - ADM - announced that it was signed by the Director General of ADM, Marcellus Minenna, and by the Head of the Transport Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT), Speranzina De Matteo, an important Framework Protocol for the relaunch of the national port system.

This is an ambitious agreement to rationalize, strengthen and renew existing synergies in a strategic sector for the country's competitiveness.

ADM will make its technical-specialist skills available to MIT to allow the collection and sharing of data, the standardization of processes - also in terms of interoperability of the various existing systems - and the homogeneity of the information procedures through which to manage logistics of the port areas.

MIT will thus be able to enhance and expand the wealth of knowledge and experience it already has and will be able more quickly to define effective choices and operational lines to be branched out to the Port System Authorities and the Port Authority of Gioia Tauro, in order to guarantee the development of individual port realities, respecting their characteristics and specificities, but giving all the same tools and the same opportunities for innovation and growth.

The operating scheme identified is that of one control room coordinated by the ADM General Manager and the Head of the Transport Department, which is also composed of the President of Assoporti, a representative of the Port System Authorities and the President of the National Digital Logistics Platform (UIRNet).

The objective is complex, but the public realities involved are compact and aware of how important it is to operate in perfect harmony, rapidly implementing the implementation and integration of the digital logistics system in our ports.
