Giuseppe Esposito Lieutenant of the Local Police, 33 years of service, of which the last 22 under UORA, the Car Removal Operating Unit, led by Captain Giuseppe Imperatore at 65, he lost his life due to the contraction of covid19 at the hospital in Bergamo where in February he went to undergo a minor knee surgery and related rehabilitation. Yesterday the body arrived in Naples from Bergamo and was greeted by the Command of Via Santa Maria del Pianto with sirens explained as a sign of homage for a colleague loved by everyone and always on the front line in the delicate activities entrusted to the Police Command Local.

In the meantime, the Local police of Naples during the day of 03 April it employed no. 290 Agents and Officers to verify compliance with ministerial and local regulations for the containment of the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19. From the early hours of the morning they were checked 561 people who moved on foot and n. 867 citizens intent on moving with their cars, all 1428 were required the required self-certification forms. The Agents sanctioned 5 subjects pursuant to Article 4, paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 19/2020. 616 checks were also carried out at public establishments, in order to comply with the recommended safety distances, for the prohibition of assembly and for the verification of the appropriate certification of the disinfection of the premises, in addition to the prescribed suspensions of activities. From these checks 15 administrative sanctions arose pursuant to Article 4 paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 19/2020.
"Controls by the Naples Local Police aimed at ensuring compliance with the provisions adopted to protect safety and public health continue constant - declares the Councilor Alessandra Clemente - especially in areas, such as shopping areas, post offices and solidarity centers for the most needy, where there have been more gatherings. The appeal to citizens continues strong to continue with the same maturity and prudence demonstrated up to now to leave the house in strictly necessary cases, choosing for needs such as food shopping booking forms and timetables - early morning and afternoon - where the queues in compliance of the safety distance are shorter."
