Naples: Aeronautica Militare urgently transports medical team for organ transplantation

The team of specialized doctors was transported from the Padua hospital to Cardarelli in the Campania capital

At the first light of dawn today, a Falcon 900 from the 31st Wing of the Italian Air Force, in readiness for a health alarm, transported a specialized medical team from the Padua hospital to Naples, where at the Cardarelli hospital it proceeded to the removal of an organ.

After the intervention, the health team and the organ were transferred back on board the military aircraft to the Venice airport, to subsequently reach the hospital in Padua.

Air Force crews and transport aircraft are ready day and night, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day to ensure, where required and deemed necessary for reasons of urgency, the medical transport of people in imminent danger of life, transport organs or medical teams as on this occasion.

Thousands of flights per year are made in favor of the community by the 31 ° Stormo aircraft of Ciampino, by the 14 ° Stormo of Pratica di Mare and by the 46 ^ Air Brigade of Pisa, which are always on the front line in case of emergency.
