The FREMM, as part of the Naval Campaign in the Middle East and the Arabian Sea, will stop in the port of Abu Dhabi to participate in the international exhibition IDEX-NAVDEX 2019
From 14 to 21 February the European Multi-Mission Frigate (FREMM) Carlo Margottini will be parked in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the third stage of the naval campaign in the Middle East and the Arabian Sea (MOMA) which sees the Naval unit of the Navy carry out presence and surveillance activities in the area, to protect maritime traffic lines of national interest.
The campaign is also part of the activities carried out in the field of international cooperation and dialogue between the countries of the area with which Italy has important political-diplomatic, economic and industrial relations, thus representing an important opportunity to promote the "Country System" in an integrated way, flanking and supporting the activities of important representatives of the national defense industry such as Fincantieri, Leonardo, MBDA and Electronics, whose collaboration with the Navy and the Defense has made it possible countryside.
After participating in the AMAN 2019 international exercise held in Pakistan, ship Margottini, in Abu Dhabi, will take part in the "Naval Defense Exhibition 2019" (NAVDEX 2019) as part of the "International Maritime Defense Exhibition & Conference" (IDEX 2019), international showcase for the national defense-related industry and opportunities to establish and strengthen cooperation with the main players in the area. The presence of the Unit at the exhibition demonstrates the Navy's attention to technological developments and the role it plays in collaborations with the national industry in the design and construction of advanced platforms and systems such as FREMM class units.
After Abu Dhabi, Margottini's naval campaign will continue to Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait City (Kuwait), Doha (Qatar) and Muscat (Oman).
