Navy: the Orsa Maggiore school ship stopping in Tangier (Morocco) from 3 to 6 September

Today the Orsa Maggiore school ship has landed in the port of Tangier (Morocco), where it will stop until September 06. The stop takes place within the framework of the 2018 Education Campaign in favor of ten Officers aspiring Guardiamarina of the third class of the Naval Academy of Livorno.

The ship, delivered to the Navy in the 1994, is one of the minor sailing units that contribute to the professional training and ethics of the personnel, with the aim of applying the theoretical lessons acquired during the past year at the Armed Forces Training Institute , acquire more maritime experience and strengthen the team spirit typical of the Navy crews.

After Tangier, Orsa Maggiore will continue to the port of Sete (France), returning to the Mediterranean after one month of navigation in the Atlantic Ocean and before returning the September 22 to Livorno, where the Education Campaign will end.

During the stay in Tangier, the population will have the opportunity to visit the unit on the following days:

  • Tuesday 04 September from 16: 30 to 19: 00;
  • Wednesday 05 September from 10: 30 to 12: 00.
