Netflix aims to land in Turkey

The head of the Turkish television control authority said on Tuesday that the Netflix online streaming service (NFLX.O) requested a license based on the country's new online transmission guidelines.

Donation campaignEbubekir Sahin also stated on Twitter that over 600 online broadcasting services, including local streaming platforms Puhu TV and Blu TV, have also applied for a license.

Netflix, founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph on August 29, 1997 in Scotts Valley, California, operating in the Internet distribution of movies, television series and other paid entertainment content.
