Nine fugitives return from Albania today

The teamwork between the Criminalpol International Police Cooperation Service and the Albanian Police continues with excellent results

There are 9 fugitives, traced in Albania, who are extradited to Italy today by the Service for International Police Cooperation (SCIP) of the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police, led by Prefect Vittorio Rizzi.

These are all citizens of Albanian nationality, aged between 27 and 72 years, who had taken refuge in their homeland in an attempt to escape the arrest measures extended internationally by the national prosecutors of Bari, Bergamo, Chieti, Florence, L 'Aquila, Milan, Naples.

The extradited have criminal records that range from aggravated theft to receiving stolen goods, from robbery to the violation of drug legislation, up to crimes of conspiracy for the purpose of drug trafficking.

Today's operation, which represents the final outcome of a profitable info-investigative exchange and synergistic operational activities carried out in Albanian territory, for several months, once again underlines the effectiveness of the collaboration between the police of the Republic of Albania and the Service for International Police Cooperation of the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police, through the Office of the Security Expert operating in Tirana.
