Hard blow to the Casamonica clan
The State Police at the request of the DDA is carrying out precautionary measures for association of the mafia type, extortion, usury and fictitious registration of assets. Maxi anti-mafia seizure of assets for confiscation for 20 million euros, on the proposal of the Public Prosecutor and the Quaestor of Rome.
From the early hours of this morning, more than 150 men of the State Police of the Central Operational Service, of the Mobile Squad of Rome and of the "Romanina" PS Commissariat have implemented the Application Ordinance of Personal and Royal Custody Measures issued by the GIP of the Court of Rome, at the request of the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against members of the “Casamonica clan”.
Simultaneously with the execution of the ordinances, the decree for the seizure of assets for the purposes of confiscation issued by the Court of Rome - Prevention Measures Section was executed for a value of approximately 20 million euro.
The details of the operation will be illustrated during a meeting with journalists to be held in the meeting room of the Public Prosecutor at 11.00 today, in the presence of the Prosecutor dr. Michele Prestipino Giarritta, of the Central Anti-Crime Director dr. Francesco Messina and the Quaestor of Rome dr. Carmine Esposito.
