The Carabinieri of the Colleferro Company have arrested three women from the province of Rome, aged 20, 32 and 37, already known for previous crimes, seriously suspected of aggravated theft of goods displayed for sale in a well-known brand in the Outlet of Valmontone. 

Un Carabiniere of the Colleferro Company, free from service and in civilian clothes, he was inside the business when he noticed two women wandering around the shelves suspiciously, observing the goods on display and paying attention to the movements of the sales staff.

The details did not escape the soldier who began to follow their movements until two women, without passing through the checkouts, first passed the barriers of the anti-shoplifting system and then avoided the control of the sales staff by leaving the shop and walking towards the exit of the shopping center.

At that point, the Carabiniere qualified and blocked the two women, asking for assistance from colleagues at the Valmontone station. who intervened on site and, thanks to the analysis of the video surveillance systems made available by the Outlet staff, reconstructed the criminal conduct carried out by the two women, also managing to identify the third accomplice and the car they used.

La search inside the vehicle, in fact, allowed the Carabinieri to find further items of clothing hidden under the seat. All the goods, with a total value of over 400 euros, was returned to the manager of an activity attributable to a well-known brand in the Valmontone Outlet who filed a complaint for the theft. The suspects were arrested in flagrante delicto and, last morning, the Judge of the Velletri Court validated the arrests and ordered two of the three women to report to the barracks.

The operation of the Carabinieri of the Colleferro Company is part of a prevention device established by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Rome which aims to combat the phenomenon of "shoplifting" in commercial activities, making use of the qualified collaboration of the personnel in charge of security.

In the same context, a few hours later, the Carabinieri of the Valmontone station also arrested a 33-year-old resident of Ostia, caught after having committed the theft of three pairs of shoes, with a commercial value of approximately 250 euros. Also in this case the goods were returned to the owner of the business inside the shopping center and the 33-year-old was reported for aggravated theft.
