"Fishing is an excellence of our country, especially in inland waters. The problem is that in recent years there has been someone who has decided to turn our rivers into places of poaching and illegality, using increasingly dangerous and increasingly invasive fishing techniques that destroy the natural habitat of flora and fauna. The goal we have with this bill against poaching in inland waters is to restore legality in our rivers where our fishermen live the sport of fishing as a hobby, and ensure that our fish species are protected ".
This is what was declared by the Minister of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies, Sen. Gian Marco Centinaio, who spoke this morning at the press conference for the presentation of the bill on the fight against fish poaching in inland waters. "The work that is being done is to protect a sector, which is that of Italian fishermen, who want to work legally, and to protect a small sector, which is that of tourism linked to fishing", concludes Minister Centinaio.
