The Postal Police of Palermo and Trapani carried out three searches against as many subjects, inhabitants of the centers of Marsala and Petrosino, for "revenge porn" and other crimes against at least six young women.
The subjects, all aged between 30 and 36 years, would have received and disclosed photographs of the victims - ex-girlfriends or simple acquaintances of the suspects - even portrayed without clothes, publishing them without their consent on a pornographic site, at the internal chat rooms dedicated to the exchange of sexually explicit material.
The investigations were started after the young victims were reported, notified by a boy from Marsala who, after a television report of the program "Le Iene," had checked the presence on a pornographic site of photographs of young local women and he was lavish in warning them.
Following the outcome of the investigative investigations and computer checks carried out by the Postal Police, the Public Prosecutor of Marsala ordered the search of the subjects held responsible for the facts.
The analysis of the huge material seized from the suspects - consisting of smartphones, computers, tablets and other IT devices - could allow to highlight further similar conducts carried out by the suspects to the detriment of other victims, yet to be identified.
