The commitment of the State Police in the fight against online child pornography continues unabated

7 reported; 1 arrested in the provinces of Naples, Rome, Foggia and Cosenza

The Naples State Police, as part of an articulated operation aimed at fighting online child pornography, denounced 7 people held responsible for the detention and dissemination of child pornography material. 

The investigation activity, coordinated by the Postal and Communications Police Service of Rome - National Center for the Fight against Online Child Pornography (CNCPO) and directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples - IV Section - Weak Fasce of international police cooperation from a report of the Canadian collateral for the exchange of pornographic material produced through the sexual exploitation of minors, which took place on a well-known instant messaging app.

The investigations, carried out by the Postal Police of Naples, through the analysis of computer traces, relating to the connections of investigative interest, made it possible to identify the 7 perpetrators of the serious offenses under investigation, residing in the provinces of Naples, Rome and Foggia .

Following the searches carried out at the homes of the suspects, numerous devices were seized in which images and videos relating to child abuse and violence were found.

Furthermore, the investigators of the Postal Police of Naples, in the context of a similar investigation activity, arrested a foreign citizen residing in the province of Cosenza, responsible for the detention of large quantities of child pornography found online and exchanged with other users.
